My name is Valerie Geary, Founder of Globe Trot Guides. I live outside of Boston, MA with my family. I absolutely love to travel. I’ve been to 22 states and 33 countries on 5 continents, with many more on my wish list. Not only do I love to travel, but I also really love to plan trips; sometimes I look forward to the planning part (almost) as much as the travel part! I am a keen photographer as well; unless otherwise noted, all of the photos that you see on this website are mine.

In the summer of 2023 we took an incredible, 17-day trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, and Italy. Upon our return, many people said to me that they would love to take a similar trip but didn’t have the time/energy/focus/desire to plan it themselves. A lightbulb went off in my head, and Globe Trot Guides was born.
